Quick Start

  1. Download the installer from your Ouaricon Audio account
  2. Run the installer — it installs both VST3 and AU formats automatically
  3. Open your DAW and scan for new plugins
  4. Insert O-DigiDelay on a track
  5. Enter your license key (OUA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) when prompted

Interface Overview

O-DigiDelay features a wide-format interface with seven primary controls, a preset browser, and an output level meter.

Layout

The interface is organized as follows:

All parameters can be automated in your DAW for dynamic delay effects.

Tip: Double-click any knob to reset it to its default value.

Parameters

Parameter Range Default Description
Sync OFF / ON OFF Locks delay time to your DAW's tempo. When ON, the Time knob snaps to musical note divisions.
Time 1–2000 ms (free mode)
Note values (synced mode)
351 ms Sets the delay time. In free mode, displays milliseconds. When Sync is ON, displays musical divisions (1/4, 1/8, dotted, triplet, etc.).
Feedback 0–100% 50% Controls how much of the delayed signal feeds back into the delay line. Higher values produce more repeats. At 100%, repeats sustain indefinitely.
Spread 0–100% 40% Stereo width of the delay. At 0%, delay is mono-centered. At 100%, repeats alternate fully between left and right channels (ping-pong behavior).
Mod 0–100% 5% Applies pitch modulation to the delay line, simulating tape flutter and analog imperfection. Subtle amounts add warmth; higher values create chorus-like movement.
Wet 0–100% 45% Level of the delayed (wet) signal in the output mix.
Dry 0–100% 90% Level of the original (dry) signal in the output mix. Set to 0% when using on a send/return bus.

Parameter Details

Sync

The Sync toggle switches the Time knob between free-running milliseconds and tempo-locked musical divisions. When enabled, the delay stays in time with your project regardless of tempo changes, making it ideal for rhythmic delays.

Feedback

Feedback determines the number of delay repeats. Low values (10–30%) give a subtle slapback effect. Medium values (40–60%) produce a natural trailing delay. High values (70–90%) create long, building echoes. At 100%, the delay self-oscillates — use with care for creative sound design.

Tip: Automate Feedback to build from a subtle echo into self-oscillation during a transition or breakdown.

Spread

Spread controls stereo distribution of the delay repeats. At low values, repeats stay centered. As you increase Spread, odd-numbered repeats shift left and even-numbered repeats shift right, creating a ping-pong effect. This is great for adding width and movement to mono sources.

Mod (Modulation)

The Mod control applies subtle pitch modulation to the delay buffer, simulating the mechanical imperfections of analog tape and bucket-brigade delay circuits. A small amount (3–10%) adds warmth and organic character. Higher values (30%+) create noticeable pitch wobble suitable for lo-fi and experimental textures.

Wet / Dry

Independent Wet and Dry controls give you full flexibility over the mix balance. For insert use, keep Dry at 80–100% and adjust Wet to taste. For send/return routing, set Dry to 0% and Wet to 100% so your DAW's send level controls the effect amount.

Presets

O-DigiDelay includes factory presets covering common delay applications. Use the left/right arrows in the preset browser to browse, or click the preset name to open a dropdown.

Preset Description
Default Balanced starting point — moderate time, feedback, and spread
Ping Pong Style Full stereo bounce with wide spread and moderate feedback
Long Ambient Long delay time with high feedback and modulation for atmospheric tails
Slapback Short, single repeat for classic rockabilly and vocal doubling
Tape Echo Warm repeats with high modulation simulating vintage tape delay
Dotted Eighth Tempo-synced dotted 1/8 note — classic U2-style rhythmic delay
Dark Repeats Filtered delay with gentle rolloff for warm, receding echoes
Wide Stereo Maximum spread with moderate feedback for immersive stereo field
Lo-Fi Wobble Heavy modulation for warped, degraded tape character
Subtle Thickener Short delay, low feedback — adds body without obvious echo

Managing Presets

Use the SAVE button to store your own presets. Use LOAD to browse and import preset files.

Presets are stored at:

macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/O-DigiDelay/Presets/

Windows: %APPDATA%\O-DigiDelay\Presets\

You can create custom presets and share them by copying preset files to this directory.
