O-Bells is a physical modeling bell synthesizer that spans the full timbral spectrum of struck metal — from orchestral tubular bells and church carillons to gamelan metallophones and singing bowls. Using modal synthesis with research-informed acoustic physics, O-Bells captures the authentic partial structure, decay characteristics, and resonant shimmer of real instruments.

Continuous parameters morph seamlessly between bell archetypes rather than jumping between discrete models. Shape the material character (bronze, brass, steel, aluminum, cast iron), control inharmonicity from pure intervals to gamelan-style partial deviation, and sculpt the spectral bloom that gives bells their evolving, living quality. An ensemble section with unison spread, detuning, and sub-octave layering transforms single notes into lush, spacious textures.
